Housing For The Armed Forces Community

We recognise that the transition and resettlement phase of leaving the armed forces can be a difficult process. Fortunately, when leaving the service there is a wealth of support and advice available to you to find a civilian home. There are schemes that can make the process of buying a home more affordable, or help to find appropriate accommodation for you and your family.

The following links can provide further direction to the resources available:

Defense Transition Service (DTS)

The Ministry of Defence runs the DTS in order to provide help and advice for Service members who are about to return to life as civilians.

As well as other programmes, some of which are listed below, they also provide a regular programme of  civilian housing briefings in order to provide Service members, and their families, with information about private rental,  home ownership schemes, as well as independent financial advice.
