Careers: Life After Service

Here at the AFC, we recognise the challenges of transitioning into civilian life and  pursuing a new career after leaving the Armed Forces. This is why we have created a list of resources and articles to help Service leavers as they pursue other career paths.

There are partnerships that can assist you in finding a new job – with interview, CV and skills training available for ex-military personnel. Similarly, for Veterans of working age, there are charities that work to assist in finding another career.

Work has been done in a number of areas to overcome the barriers that can arise from leaving the armed forces, including changing residency requirements for those who have been serving overseas and offering guaranteed interviews to veterans who meet the selection criteria of a job advert.
